The holidays are a special time for family and friends to reunite and remind each other how much they are loved and appreciated. We are honored to be part of your family traditions and favorite times. January

New Years could be epic by preparing filet mignon with pinot noir sauce, lobster mac and cheese, and a strawberry asparagus salad for your loved ones. Pair it with champagne and pinot noir wine to complete a truly phenomenal celebration you won’t soon forget.

February

On Valentine’s Day, whether alone or with someone special, try Champagne risotto, herb-marinated pork tenderloin, and orange chocolate lava cake. This meal is sure to warm your heart and satisfy your soul. A pink Moscato would pair nicely.

March

St. Patrick’s Day calls for everyone to celebrate the Irish in us and around us. We like traditional beer-braised corned beef and colcannon. If you’re feeling lucky, green beer is the best. If not, stout ale will do fine.

April

Easter is our first sign of spring and a day certainly worthy of a special meal. Lamb with Rosemary Au Jus or spiral ham with ginger peach glaze, mixed roasted potatoes with herb butter, and carrot cake will make this holiday truly memorable. A Sauvignon Blanc or Malbec will bring it all together.

May

Mother’s Day and Memorial Day are the holidays that kick off the grilling season. Start with the kids making mom breakfast. It doesn’t have to be fancy; Tom’s Meat Market’s own breakfast sausage patties and pancakes with Vermontville’s real maple syrup would be a special treat for mom. Later, grill her a gourmet stuffed burger along with a pitcher of sangria punch. She will be happy, happy, happy!

June

This Father’s Day, grill dad his favorite steak. A nice thick porterhouse with balsamic steak sauce, red potato salad with bacon, and key lime pie will put you on dad’s favorite list.

July

The fourth celebrates our country and our heritage. We say BBQ! Barbecued baby back ribs, Tom’s own coleslaw, and berry trifle are summery, fun, and very patriotic.

August/September

Labor Day is bittersweet, marking the end of our long summer days and warm summer nights. But hey, the kids are going back to school! Burgers, brats and steaks, fried green tomatoes, and berry crumble make a great celebration, welcoming the cooler weather to come.

October

Tailgating and family gatherings start out right with the freshest meat in Barry County. Sliders, sloppy joes, chili, smoked meats, wings, and the like are always delicious when you start here at Tom’s Meat Market.

November

Stuff it, deep fry it, roast it, or smoke it—however you choose to prepare your Thanksgiving Turkey, just make sure it’s an all-natural fresh turkey from Tom’s Meat Market. Get your order in early!

December

The most famous holiday of all deserves something very special. Prime rib custom-cut and seasoned just for you and your family, or perhaps a pork crown roast is in order.
